Buga National High School bringing the name of the District of Leon II Joins Opening Program of Leon Municipal Meet 2026

Buga National High School (BNHS) joined the opening program of the Leon Municipal Meet 2026 held on August 8, 2026, marking the beginning of another exciting chapter of athletic competition among schools in the municipality.

The opening program brought together student-athletes, coaches, teachers, and school representatives who gathered to celebrate sportsmanship, unity, discipline, and excellence through sports.

Not just representing Buga National High School, but the whole Secondary Schools in the District of Leon II, its student-athletes together with Bucari National High School, Buga National High School-Gines Ext, Bulwang Camandag Integrated School and Agboy Integrated School, proudly participated in the opening activities, carrying with them the name and pride of their school and district. Their presence reflected the school’s continued support for sports development and the holistic growth of its learners.

The Municipal Meet also served as an opportunity for athletes to showcase their skills, determination, teamwork, and dedication while building camaraderie with fellow participants from other schools.

As the competition officially commenced, Buga National High School encouraged its athletes to give their best, compete with integrity, and uphold the values of respect and sportsmanship throughout the games.

With determination in every game and pride in every step, Buga National High School stands ready to take on the challenge of the Leon Municipal Meet 2026.

📢 BUGA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL ADVISORY

HINTO LEVEL IMPLEMENTED

In accordance with DepEd Order No. 14, s. 2026 (Guidelines on Learning Continuity in Emergencies), the RED Rainfall Warning issued by DOST-PAGASA, and the announcement of Hon. Ma. Lina Cabana-Holipas, Municipal Mayor of Leon, Buga National High School shall implement the HINTO Level of the 4H Learning Continuity Framework.

Under the HINTO level, academic learning is temporarily suspended because the safety and basic needs of learners, teachers, and school personnel are at risk. Priority shall be given to the protection and well-being of everyone.

Accordingly:

Face-to-face classes are suspended.

No learning tasks , No learning packets and other academic requirements shall be expected while the HINTO level is in effect.

Learners, parents, and school personnel are advised to stay in safe locations, follow evacuation or safety advisories when necessary, and monitor official announcements from DOST-PAGASA, the Municipal Government of Leon, and the Department of Education.

Further announcements regarding the resumption of classes and learning activities will be issued through the school's official communication channels.

Your safety comes first. Stay alert, stay safe, and follow only verified advisories from authorized government agencies.

Due to Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 2 issued by PAGASA and the Municipality of Leon being under Red Warning brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), classes at all levels, both public and private, are suspended today, 24 July 2026.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel.
