In our commitment to providing the best possible football experience for every participant, the 89th Iloilo City Charter Day Mayor's Football Festival 2026 will now be played under a Single Round Robin Format for all categories.

This exciting adjustment means more guaranteed matches, more playing time, and more opportunities for every team to compete, develop, and enjoy the beautiful game. Rather than a shorter tournament format, every player will have more chances to showcase their skills, gain valuable match experience, and create unforgettable memories on the pitch.

For our young footballers, this means more touches on the ball, more learning moments, more confidence-building experiences, and more fun with teammates and fellow athletes from different clubs and communities.

These categories will be played simultaneously at the La Paz Football Field, bringing together youth, open, and veteran football communities in one exciting day of competition and camaraderie.

This festival is more than just a tournament—it is a celebration of football, friendship, sportsmanship, and the passion that unites our football community. From our youngest players taking their first competitive steps to our veteran footballers continuing to inspire the next generation, every match will be part of an unforgettable Charter Day celebration.

We encourage all teams, coaches, managers, players, and parents to carefully review the updated schedule and coordinate accordingly. Detailed fixtures and match schedules for each category will be released soon.

𝗔 𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗻 (𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀/𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶) 𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝟭𝟬 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 was successfully caught by local anglers at the 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟯 𝗦𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸, proving once again that the Iloilo River continues to support thriving aquatic life.

The impressive catch is more than just a fisherman’s milestone, 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. Conservation initiatives, including the annual Closed Fishing Season, help protect Bulgan during their spawning period, 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆.
