𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐖𝐀 | PROPOSED FIRST CERTIFIED HALAL MEAT SLAUGHTERHOUSE IN ILIGAN CITY πŸ•ŒπŸ₯©πŸŒΎ

Headed by City Agriculturist and the current Vice Chairperson of the Iligan City Halal Development Council Ms. Marie Ann J. Beley, the City Agriculturist’s Office recently conducted a coordination meeting with the Fiqh and Halal Council of the Philippines, Inc. (FHCP) regarding the proposed establishment of the first Certified Halal Meat Slaughterhouse in Iligan City.

The discussion focused on the necessary requirements, standards, site considerations, certification processes, and documentary compliance needed for the proper establishment of a Halal-compliant slaughterhouse facility in the city.

Present during the meeting were Focal Person for Agriculture Mr. Kevin R. Fernan, TESDA Focal Person Mr. Datu Madrigal Dianalan, together with Sultan Coyogan Benaning Bansao, Chairman of the Fiqh and Halal Council of the Philippines and DTI Board Member on Halal Export.

This initiative reflects the continuing efforts of the City Agriculturist’s Office and partner agencies towards sustainable agricultural development, food security, and the promotion of Halal-certified industries in Iligan City.

PANOORIN | Pinapayuhan ng Iligan City Agriculturist's (CAg) Office ang mga magsasaka sa lungsod na huwag munang magtanim hangga’t wala pang opisyal na payo mula sa Department of Agriculture (DA) kaugnay sa inaasahang epekto ng El NiΓ±o.

Ayon kay City Agriculturist Marie Ann Beley, nakararanas na ng tagtuyot ang Iligan kaya tinutukoy na ng kanilang tanggapan ang mga sapa, ilog at iba pang pinagkukunan ng tubig na maaaring pansamantalang magamit ng mga magsasaka.

Tiniyak din ni Beley na may nakahandang tulong ang lokal na pamahalaan para sa mga magsasaka sakaling lumala ang epekto ng El NiΓ±o.

Kabilang dito ang pamamahagi ng mga binhi para sa backyard gardening, mga halamang kayang mabuhay kahit tagtuyot, at ilang drum para sa mga samahan ng magsasakang malapit sa mga pinagkukunan ng tubig.

Mahigpit din aniya ang koordinasyon ng kanilang tanggapan sa DA, National Irrigation Administration (NIA) at city Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) office, upang matiyak na may nakahandang tulong sa mga apektadong magsasaka.
