Today marks the final day of our Monthly Mandatory Training, focusing on Good Governance and Management of Cooperatives. The session highlighted the importance of transparency, accountability, ethical leadership, and effective management practices in ensuring the sustainability and success of our cooperative.
Through continuous learning and active participation, we strengthen our commitment to serving our members and building a more resilient cooperative community.
Thank you to the Seven (7) Cooperatives namely FICUVA, MITSCO, LANDTRASCO, VINACCO, BONBONON MPC, Iligan Food & Agri Cooperative, Dunggoan Salingsing Indigenous People Agriculture Cooperative who actively participated and contributed to the success of this training. May the knowledge and lessons learned inspire us to uphold the values of good governance and continue working together for a stronger and more progressive cooperative.

The Cooperative Development and Livelihood Office, in support of strengthening cooperative operations and improving service delivery, officially turned over 1 computer set and 2 printers to two (2) cooperatives. This initiative aims to enhance their administrative efficiency, record-keeping, and overall productivity through the use of modern technology.
These resources will contribute to the continued growth and development of the cooperatives and enable them to better serve their members and communities.
Offices of the Iligan Dealers Multi-Purpose Cooperative and FICUVA Multi-Purpose Cooperative were badly hit by Typhoon Basyang last February 2026.

We explored the basic principles, values, and importance of cooperatives in promoting unity, mutual assistance, democratic participation, and community development. Understanding these fundamentals helps strengthen our commitment as cooperative members and empowers us to contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

The meeting was attended by the Hon. Freddie Siao City Mayor, Presiding Chairman, Councilor Michelle Sweet as the Vice Chairperson together with the Executive members and Technical Working Group (TWG).
The City Livelihood Assistance for the Three (3) cooperatives namely Iligan Dealers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (IDEAL MPC), Philippine Eagles Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PEMPC), Fil-Vinyl Multi-Purpose Cooperative (FVMPC)in the amount of Php.500,000/ cooperative were approved subject to the completion/requirements required by the City Legal Office. The loan assistance is free of interest, payable in two (2) years. The Supplemental Budget Request for cooperatives affected by Typhoon Basyang were included.
Discussions emphasized sustainable cooperative development, financial assistance, and recovery support. The activity concluded with agreements and recommendations aimed at strengthening cooperative programs and ensuring continuous support for cooperatives in Iligan City.

The Cooperative Development and Livelihood Office (CDLO) in partnership with City Agriculturist Office (CAG) in coordination with the Cooperative Development Authority Region X facilitated the Pre-registration seminar for 𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐑𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐧, 𝐈𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 (Cadayunan Tribal Farmers Agriculture Cooperative CATRIFACO) . This activity is a prerequisite to the intention of the group to organize themselves into cooperatives.
This initiative aims to enhance economic opportunities and support their journey.

The 6Ps is a community-based livelihood assistance through Urban Communal Gardening, a food production initiative of the City Government of Iligan under the Iligan Development Goal No. 4 entitled “Programa sa Panginabuhian batok Kapobrehon”. It is a livelihood program targeting the poor, unemployed and vulnerable residents in the barangays of the City.

The Profiling and Site Visit was headed by Mr. Julius haganas and Assisted by Research, Advocacy and Information Division (RAID) Staff of CDLO.

This program was made possible with the with strong support by our City Mayor 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐖. 𝐒𝐢𝐚𝐨 and in Coordination with 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 headed by Ms. Alice A. Coronado and Iligan City Agriculturist's Office Ms. Marie Ann J. Beley.

#𝐃𝐀𝐘𝟐 - The Cooperative Development and Livelihood Office (CDLO), headed by Ma’am Alice A. Coronado, actively took part in the packing of food supplies to support and extend assistance to our hardworking frontliners.

This initiative reflects our shared commitment to bayanihan and service, especially in times of need. Maraming salamat sa lahat ng tumulong at patuloy na naglilingkod para sa kapakanan ng ating komunidad.
