๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐๐ was conducted with ๐ฏ๐๐. ๐น๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช. ๐น๐๐๐๐๐
๐ together with the PMNP Project Assistant II, MNAO-Designate, HEPO, PMNP Technical Manager, and the HRH Nutritionist-Dietitian to discuss preparations for the upcoming Integrated Supportive Supervision Monitoring (ISSM) under the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP).
During the meeting, the nutrition team emphasized the importance of aligning the municipalityโs activities and documentation with the monitoring requirements of the PMNP. The upcoming ISSM is a critical process that aims to assess the implementation progress of nutrition-related programs, evaluate compliance with project guidelines, and identify areas that require strengthening to ensure that interventions are effectively reaching the target beneficiaries.
The discussion covered the current implementation status of nutrition programs in the municipality, including updates on ongoing initiatives, challenges encountered during implementation, and the necessary support needed from the local government to ensure that all project components are properly executed. The nutrition team presented updates on nutrition interventions, coordination with barangays, and the integration of nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific activities aligned with the PMNP framework.
Furthermore, the team highlighted the importance of documentation and timely completion of required reports and supporting documents. The Mayor and concerned offices were reminded to expedite paper transactions and ensure that all required documents are organized and compliant with the PMNP checklist in preparation for the upcoming verification process. Proper documentation and coordination among offices are essential to demonstrate the municipalityโs adherence to PMNP standards and to facilitate a smooth monitoring and validation process.
In addition, Mayor Rafael C. Rizalda emphasized the importance of having functional nutrition committees, particularly at the barangay level. He underscored that active and well-organized barangay committees play a vital role in the effective implementation of nutrition programs, monitoring of beneficiaries, and coordination of nutrition-related activities within the community. Strengthening these committees will help ensure that nutrition interventions are properly carried out and that grassroots-level participation is maximized.
Hon. Rafael C. Rizalda expressed his full support for the nutrition team and acknowledged the significance of the ISSM in strengthening the municipalityโs nutrition programs. He encouraged all concerned offices to work collaboratively, ensure prompt submission of required documents, and continue prioritizing nutrition initiatives that contribute to improving the health and well-being of the community.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to intensify coordination, finalize the necessary preparations, and ensure that the municipality is fully ready for the upcoming Integrated Supportive Supervision Monitoring (ISSM) of the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project.
