The Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (LEDIP) facilitated the visit of the 2026 3rd Korean Investment Delegation to Iligan City to strengthen partnerships and explore investment opportunities that support the city's development goals.
Upon their arrival at Iligan City, the delegation was welcomed by the LEDIP Team and divided into two groups, Team NSC and Team ICWS, to efficiently conduct site inspections and discussions.
The delegation visited the National Steel Corporation (NSC), the Iligan City Waterworks System (ICWS) Office, ICWS springs, and pumping stations to assess existing infrastructure and identify potential areas for investment and collaboration.
Throughout the three day visit, working lunch meetings were held with key City Government offices and stakeholders to discuss investment opportunities, regulatory requirements, and observations from the site visits. These discussions also enabled the delegation to gather information necessary for evaluating potential future partnerships in Iligan City.
On the third day, the delegation visited proposed housing development sites, Maria Cristina Falls, and Espasyo Creatives Hub to further explore opportunities related to urban development, tourism, and cultural promotion.
The visit concluded with an exit meeting with City Mayor Frederick W. Siao, where key findings and possible next steps were discussed. The activity further strengthened international relations and opened opportunities for future investments in Iligan City.
