The world today is recognizing the vital need to undertake on a green transition. The theme of the International Youth Day 2023, โGreen Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable Worldโ, is a call to the youth to partake on this green shift towards an environmentally sustainable and climate-friendly world. This emphasizes the paramount role of the youth in the successful transition towards a greener world.
The City of Iligan, in its commitment to support and conduct activities specifically intended for the development of the youth, is going to hold a ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด on 12th August 2023 at 5:30AM in Bayug Island, Hinaplanon, Iligan City in coordination with Iligan City Youth Development Office with the focal person Ms. Nora Fe Escorial and Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Iligan City headed by SK Pederasyon President Councilor Emily Q. Hynson. This program aims to promote environmental awareness among the youth of Iligan City.
The ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ด๐ผ ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ป, a month-long celebration in the month of August, is led by the different barangays in Iligan City. ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ด๐ผ ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ป will conclude with ๐ฃ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ข ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฏ which will showcase the talents and skills of the youth of the city in various activities and will be participated by the 44 barangays of Iligan. It is intended to develop sportsmanship, unity, and good fellowship among young Iliganons.
