Where The Road Bends Home

A 20" x 26" including the bamboo frame sculptural relief crafted entirely from engineered bamboo slats and strips, depicting a winding coastal highway beside a cliffside chapel during a moonlit procession. Inspired by repeated journeys between university and hometown, the work intertwines Catholic ritual and indigenous belief - symbolized by a revered balite tree along the roadside. Rendered in sepia- toned monochrome with a glowing yellow moon in a star-filled sky, the piece reflects on faith, memory and the resilience of both people and bamboo.
