The Economic Enterprise Development and Management Office (EEDMO) โ Slaughterhouse Division of the Local Government Unit of Iligan City conducted a courtesy visit to the municipalities of Linamon, Tagoloan, and Lugait on ๐๐ฆ๐ค๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ณ 12, 2025. The activity aimed to promote the services of the Iligan City Slaughterhouse and strengthen inter-local government cooperation.
The delegation was led by Engr. Loina M. Romanillos, Officer-in-Charge of the Iligan City Slaughterhouse, together with Assistant OIC Rochan L. Diano and Office Staff Jeno Taberos. They met with Hon. Procopio V. Chang, Municipal Mayor of Linamon; Hon. Wellie G. Lim, CPA, Municipal Mayor of Lugait; and Hon. Leslie Glendee โLovelyโ Dimakuta, Municipal Mayor of Tagoloan.
The visit served as a forum to present the slaughterhouseโs operational standards, processing capabilities, and service offerings, while exploring opportunities for increased utilization by neighboring municipalities. Discussions focused on promoting food safety, ensuring compliance with national meat inspection standards, and supporting local meat vendors and livestock raisers.
The courtesy call highlighted the shared commitment of the participating local government units to enhance meat inspection services, strengthen the local livestock industry, and ensure the availability of safe and high-quality meat products for consumers. Overall, the official visit contributed to building stronger partnerships that support sustainable local development and improved public health outcomes.
