DOH TRC Region 02 Conducts Outpatient Family Day 2026

CITY OF ILAGAN, ISABELA | September 17, 2026 โ€” The Department of Health Treatment and Rehabilitation Center Region 02 (DOH TRC R02) successfully conducted its Outpatient Family Day 2026, bringing together patients and their families for a day of learning, fellowship, and meaningful family engagement.

Anchored on the theme โ€œPamilyang Nagkakaisa, Pagbangon Sama-Sama,โ€ the activity highlighted the vital role of family support and participation in the rehabilitation and recovery journey of patients.

The program commenced with Holy Mass, followed by the preliminaries and opening remarks from Dr. Antonio R. Urata Jr., OP-ACP Division Head, who welcomed the patients and their families and emphasized the importance of family involvement in the rehabilitation process.

A key highlight of the celebration was the Family Enhancement Lecture facilitated by Ms. Helen Grace H. Corpuz, Senior Health Program Officer. The session provided participants with insights on strengthening family relationships, communication, and support within the rehabilitation journey.

The celebration continued with various games and raffle activities, creating opportunities for patients and their families to interact, bond, and actively participate in the festivities. DOH TRC R02 also prepared gift packs for all participants, along with prizes for the winners of the different games.

The activity was further supported by partner agencies. The Department of Health - Cagayan Valley Center for Health Development (DOH-CVCHD) extended its support by providing vitamins for distribution to the participating families, further promoting health and well-being alongside the rehabilitation and recovery journey.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 02 was represented by Ms. Cecilia T. Turingan, Social Welfare Officer III and Team Leader of SWAD Isabela, and Ms. Winnie Joy Palatan, Social Welfare Officer II. The DSWD representatives distributed food packs to the participating families.

Meanwhile, the Department of Agriculture (DA) contributed seedlings for distribution, providing families with an opportunity to engage in gardening and other productive activities.

The celebration concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Floro A. Orata, Chief Health Program Officer, who underscored the importance of continued family support and active participation in the rehabilitation journey.

In his closing message, Mr. Orata emphasized that recovery is strengthened when patients, families, healthcare workers, and partner agencies work together toward sustained recovery and reintegration into the community.

The activity ended with lunch and fellowship among patients, families, staff, partner agencies, and guests, marking a meaningful celebration of family, partnership, and recovery.

The successful conduct of the activity was made possible through the support of Dr. Charity I. Canapi, Chief of Hospital III, whose continued support and guidance contributed to the meaningful implementation of Outpatient Family Day 2026.

You are not alone. Help is available.

If life feels overwhelming, remember that there is hope, there is help, and there are people who care. Reaching out and talking about what you are going through can be the first step toward healing.

Let us listen without judgment, speak with compassion, and remind one another that asking for help is a sign of strength.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger of self-harm, please contact emergency services or a crisis hotline, or reach out to a trusted person or mental health professional.

You matter. Your life matters. You are not alone.
