The Public Safety Office (PSO) of PGI was created through Ordinance No. 1 Series of 2012 which was amended by Ordinance No. 2 Series of 2014 entitled “ORDINANCE CREATING AND ESTABLISHING THE PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICE OF THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF ISABELA AND PROVINDING FUNDS THEREFOR”. Our Vision: The Provincial Public Safety Office is committed to the vision of a civilized society that has the chara

cteristics of law and order; where its existence is fundamentally anchored on the efficiency of government, to maintain and enhance public safety and order, provide comfort and their well-being are protected and at the same time, enlist their active participation in nation building. Our Mission: The Provincial Public Safety Office shall strive to improve the delivery of Public Safety Services through coordinative efforts for any call or need of the public for police, fire marshals, rescue and medical assistance. To help provide the basic welfare, protect human rights, preserve and protect the environment, provide training and education and community awareness programs on matters pertaining to the personal safety and security of its inhabitants in times of calamities and disasters, crime prevention, terrorism and other forms of security threats that encompass public safety and order. PSO Manuel Cesar G. Binag IV warmly receives the Coast Guard District North Eastern Luzon (CGDNELZN) during their courtesy visit to the Public Safety Office. Their visit include the discussion on future activities and partnerships, and the processing of the requested Rice Subsidy for the personnel and augmented special forces of Coast Guard Station in Isabela for approval of Gov. Albano, helping them cope with rising commodity costs and maintain operational readiness in protecting the province's coastal communities.

June 10-11, 2026:

Public Order and Safety Officer Kim Patrick G. Agbayani, together with PSO III Michael Rufino P. Corpuz, ADAS VI Nicholas V. Baggao, and AA III Michael John C. Barredo, traveled to Divilacan, Isabela to monitor the established PNP checkpoints in Brgy. Dicambangan, Divilacan and Sitio Disipon, Brgy. Sindon Bayabo, City of Ilagan, and conduct an road safety/ocular inspection on the progress of the Ilagan-Divilacan Road rehabilitation.

POSO Agbayani also made visits to safety and security partners in the area to assess inter-agency operational capability and challenges.

The PSO Traffic and Parking Management Unit (TPMU) undergo a 1-day Traffic Aide Seminar on Road Signs, Pavement Markings Familiarization, and Traffic Direction and Control to improve their skills and knowledge in traffic management and enforcement. PSO III Michael Rufino P. Corpuz and ADAS VI Nicholas V. Baggao III served as resource speakers, sharing the lessons and best practices from their own training last May 18–22, 2026 from UP Diliman NCTS. The training also included a Simulation Exercise (SIMEX), where TPMU personnel took the intersection between Rizal Street and Paguirigan Street, Centro Poblacion to put their newly acquired skills into practice under actual traffic conditions.

Safer Isabela, Safer Roads for Isabeleños

This AVP about the recently conducted “Road Safety Starts with Me: Road Safety Unity Ride, Summit and Seminar” last May 7, 2026 was presented by the Provincial Government of Isabela through the PSO during the 2nd Quarter Regional Peace and Order Council Meeting held yesterday, June 4, 2026 at Commissary, Capitol, Cagayan.

The event in celebration of Road Safety Month was spearheaded by Gov. Rodito Albano, Vice Gov. Kiko Dy, BM EJ Diaz, BM Ed Christian Go, The Isabela Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), Public Safety Office (PSO), Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), PDRRMO, Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Isabela, and supported by DILG Isabela PO, IPPO, LTO, DepEd, ISU, and other road safety stakeholders.

Albano III in the Formal Declaration of Cagayan Valley Region II as Insurgency-Free and in a State of Stable Internal Peace and Security (SSIPS) and FY 2026 CV-RPOC 2nd Quarter Meeting, at the Commissary Hall, Provincial Capitol Compound, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

The Province of Isabela also presented highlights of the Road Safety Unity Ride, Summit and Seminar — a testament to Isabela’s active role in building safer and more secure communities.
