Pre Construction Conference of Hanging Footbridge

On November 19, 2025, the Municipal Engineering Office, through the support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Igbaras headed by Mayor Vicente E. Escorpion Jr., conducted a Pre-Construction Conference for the Hanging Footbridge Project to be implemented in Barangay Boclod, Igbaras, Iloilo.

Present during the activity were representatives from Chedmaryl Construction and Supplies, the contractor entrusted with the construction of the project. The conference aimed to review the project scope, technical plans, implementation schedule, and safety protocols to ensure efficient and coordinated ex*****on of the work.

The LGU’s support underscores its commitment to improving public infrastructure and enhancing accessibility for the community. Barangay officials expressed their appreciation for the initiative, emphasizing that the Hanging Footbridge project will be highly beneficial to the constituents of Barangay Boclod, particularly in providing safer and more reliable passage during periods of heavy rainfall and high riverwater levels. Special thanks are extended to Engr. Sarah Peñaflorida, COS-Engineer, and Engr. Anastacio Escobido, Municipal Engineer, for facilitating the pre-construction conference and ensuring that all stakeholders were well guided and informed.

The meeting concluded with agreements on coordination mechanisms among the contractor, the Municipal Engineering Office, and barangay authorities to facilitate smooth project implementation.
