𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱!

Monlaque National High School proudly bagged 4th place in Sabayang Pagbigkas and 5th place in Binaeaybay contests during the celebration of National Women’s Month, with the sub-theme "Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas!" held on March 27, 2026, at the Ibajay Sports Center, Ibajay, Aklan.

The event was spearheaded by Local Government Unit of Ibajay that also featured various contests such as Sayaw ni Juana and Kanta ni Juana (Vocal Solo Contest), which aim to promote women’s empowerment and alleviate discrimination against women.

The event aimed to honor and celebrate the dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence demonstrated by Monlaque NHS students throughout the quarter.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: Monlaque National High School celebrated Women’s Month 2026 on March 25, 2026, with the theme, "WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society," and the sub-theme, "Lead Like the Babaylans."

The activity included various contests such as Poster Making and Poem Writing in English and Filipino.

This aimed to support women’s empowerment and inclusivity, where no woman is discriminated against.

𝗜𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀: Monlaque National High School continues to show excellence by actively participating in the National Arts Month Celebration 2026 on March 12 at the Ibajay Sports Complex.

The said program was spearheaded by the Ibajay Local Government Unit and the Ibajay Local Youth Development Office.

Monlaque brought home two 4th-place awards in the following categories: Spoken Poetry, represented by Shantal Mae E. Abrasaldo; and Readers Theater, performed by Rojelyn Evangelio, Jazfer Pines, and Nathalia de Roja.

The school also secured three 5th-place awards in the following categories: Vocal Solo (OPM) – Rosie Mae Mariano; Declamation – Divina C. Ramos; and Contemporary Dance, performed by Daniella Lee Fernandez, Cyra Mae Evangelio, Katleah Tadia, Peter Paul Sevilla, Jamela Jane, Kerby Raymundo, Hyril Zhada Tenorio, and Zoe Ann Italia.

Recognizing the worth and honor of women, Monlaque National High School proudly observes the National Women’s Month Celebration 2026. This year marks the fourth installment of the continuing campaign banner, “WE for Gender Equality and an Inclusive Society.”

The program is conducted in reference to the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) Memorandum Circular No. 2026-02, entitled “Guide for the 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration,” and is anchored on Republic Act No. 6949, which declares March 8 as National Women’s Day, and Republic Act No. 9710, also known as the “Magna Carta of Women.”
