SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN OF BARANGAY BITU Holds Outreach Program at Bitu Elementary School

Seventy-one pupils of Bitu Elementary School benefited from an outreach program organized by the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Council on Monday, July 14, 2025. The event featured the distribution of school supplies and informative sessions on oral health and nutrition.

The program opened with an energetic Zumba session led by Nurse Joyce Puddunan, Dr. Kristel Puguon, and Ms. Aiza Nagulman. Dr. Puguon, a dentist from the Hingyon Rural Health Unit (RHU), conducted an educational talk on proper oral hygiene, while Ms. Nagulman discussed the importance of good nutrition for children. These sessions aimed to promote essential health practices alongside the SK Councilโ€™s efforts to support the studentsโ€™ academic needs.

This successful initiative was made possible through the strong collaboration of the Bitu SK Council, BLGU BITU OFFICIALS, Hingyon RHU, BNS-BHW BITU, and Bitu Elementary School, headed by Sir Clifford Tocgongna. These joint efforts highlight a shared commitment to advancing both education and health for the communityโ€™s youth.
