π—Ÿπ—’π—’π—ž | Coast Guard Station Antique conducted the Safety, Security, and Environmental Numbering (SSEN) System marking and labeling of motorbancas in accordance with Department Memorandum Circular No. 2017-001 in Barangay Asluman, Hamtic, Antique today, 18 July 2026.

The activity assisted local fisherfolk in the proper identification and marking of their fishing vessels while reinforcing awareness on maritime safety, security, and environmental protection. It also strengthened the partnership between the Philippine Coast Guard and the fishing community in promoting responsible and safe maritime practices.

Coast Guard Station Antique remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding lives at sea by empowering our fisherfolk and fostering a safer, more resilient, and environmentally responsible maritime community.

π‹πŽπŽπŠ | Coast Guard Station Antique through Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Anini-y successfully apprehended six (6) individuals engaged in illegal fishing using a compressor onboard two (2) undocumented fishing bancas below three (3) gross tons (GT) in the vicinity waters off Brgy. Bayo PequeΓ±o, Anini-y, Antique, on 18 July 2026.

The successful operation was carried out following a report from a concerned citizen, leading to the immediate deployment of CGSS Anini-y personnel. The apprehended individuals and the fishing bancas were turned over to the appropriate authorities for proper legal disposition.

During the operation, CGSS Anini-y personnel also advised the owner/operator of the two (2) fishing bancas to register their vessels under the Safety, Security, and Environmental Numbering (SSEN) System, in accordance with DOTr-PCG Department Memorandum Circular No. 01-2017. The SSEN System enhances vessel identification, strengthens maritime security and law enforcement, deters illegal maritime activities, and improves the efficiency of search and rescue operations.

This successful operation underscores the steadfast commitment of the Coast Guard Station Antique, to its Maritime Safety and Law Enforcement (MARSLEN) mandate and its continuing support to deputized government agencies in the enforcement of fisheries, environmental, and other applicable maritime laws.

π‹πŽπŽπŠ | Coast Guard Station Antique, together with Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) San Jose De Buenavista, participated in the Blood Letting Activity spearheaded by the Antique Police Provincial Office (APPO) in celebration of the 31st Police Community Relations (PCR) Month, dubbed as "Dugo at Serbisyo: Alay sa mga AntiqueΓ±o," held at APPO, Bugante Point, Brgy. 4, San Jose de Buenavista, Antique today, 14 July 2026.

The activity aimed to promote volunteerism, strengthen inter-agency collaboration, and help ensure an adequate blood supply for individuals in need within the community.

During the program, Coast Guard Station Antique was given a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of its active participation and unwavering support for the successful conduct of the activity.

π—Ÿπ—’π—’π—ž | Coast Guard Station Antique, together with MEP ERU Antique and MSSU Antique, successfully conducted an Information Drive under the PCG intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement (iCARE) Program on Safety, Security, Enforcement, and Numbering System (SSEN), Proper Waste Management, Safety Reminders for Fisherfolk During the Rainy Season and Typhoons, and Safety Reminders for Beachgoers at Barangay Caridad, Hamtic, Antique on 12 July 2026.

The activity aimed to enhance public awareness on maritime safety, environmental protection, and compliance with existing maritime laws and regulations. Informational materials were distributed to residents, fisherfolk, and beachgoers to strengthen preparedness, promote responsible coastal practices, and encourage vigilance during the rainy season and in times of adverse weather conditions.
