BUDGET PREPARATION AND MANAGEMENT
Prepare Annual and Supplemental budgets:
• Develops the municipality's budget proposal for the upcoming year. Consolidate and review proposals:
• Gathers and reviews budget requests from various municipal departments and offices. Assist leadership:
• Helps the mayor or chief executive officer (CEO) prepare the budget and supports them during budget hearings. Cr

eate budgetary forms and instructions:
• Prepares and issues circulars and forms with instructions on budget and appropriation matters. FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT AND REPORTING
Review and approve budgets:
• Reviews and approves the budgets of component units, such as barangays. Check appropriations:
• Verifies that there are sufficient funds (appropriations) for requests and activities. Prepare periodic reports:
• Submits regular reports on the budget to higher authorities, like the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) or the Provincial Budget Office. Monitor fund ex*****on:
• Ensures funds are used according to the approved budget and prepares statements on appropriations, allotments, and obligations. TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
Provide technical assistance:
• Offers guidance to other offices and barangays on their budget preparation processes. Coordinate with other offices:
• Works with the treasurer, accountant, and planning and development officer on budgeting and development planning. Perform other duties:
• Handles various other tasks, such as preparing purchase requests and certifying the availability of funds.
