MDRRMO Guiuan’s GSURFER team on duty responded to an emergency call from Barangay 1, Guiuan, Eastern Samar. The call concerned an individual who had fainted and hit their head.
upon arrival on scene our team conducted assessment and maintained constant checking of vital signs while on transport.

The patient was safely transported to Felipe Abrigo Memorial Hospital for further medical treatment.

The MDRRMO Guiuan GSURFER team on duty promptly responded to an emergency call regarding a vehicular accident in Barangay Sapao, Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

Upon arrival at the scene, GSURFER’s on duty immediately conducted assessment on the lone patient, who was found to have sustained multiple abrasions and a laceration to the head.

The GSURFER team swiftly administered first aid to control the bleeding and stabilize the patient. Following initial treatment, the patient was safely and promptly transported to the Felipe Abrigo Memorial Hospital for further medical intervention.

The MDRRMO Guiuan’s Specialized Unit for Rescue, First Aid, and Emergency Response (SURFER) was dispatched to Brgy. Pagbabangnan and Brgy. Culasi Homonhon Island to assess the local reported Forest fire.

Promptly upon arrival, our UAV operator surveyed the affected areas while half of the team interviewed residents and first responders. At exactly 0700H, the dispatched personnel facilitated a coordination meeting with officials from both barangays, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the Philippine National Police (PNP), and response teams from various mining companies. During the meeting, the BFP briefed the response teams and barangay officials on the next course of action. Also an Incident command post was also established headed by the BFP located at Brgy hall of Brgy pagbabangnan. SURFER personnel also ensured reliable communication between the various teams via a VHF system to maintain a steady flow of information during firefighting operation.
