What started as a small community of young people with a shared dream has grown into a movement of empowered young leaders committed to serving their communities.

For four years, the KAABAG AKO Youth Leadership Camp has nurtured hundreds of young leaders, helping them discover their potential and become agents of positive change.

Many of our alumni have returned as facilitators, proving that leadership is best sustained when it is paid forward. Thank you, young leaders! I am so proud of you!🥹

This year, we are taking it a step further. Beyond leadership training, we will fund the winning community project proposal to ensure that our young leaders leave a tangible impact in their communities.

"LGU Guipos Brings Services Closer to the People through RCSP"

GUIPOS, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR - The Local Government Unit of Guipos continues to strengthen grassroots governance through the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) via the "Serbisyong KAABAG Caravan and Ugnayan sa Barangay" held at the Covered Court of Brgy. Litan, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.

RCSP: "Strengthening Grassroots Governance through Service and Ugnayan", the activity highlights the LGU’s commitment to bring government services directly to the communities — making public service more accessible, responsive, and inclusive. The caravan gathered local officials, community leaders, and residents in a meaningful dialogue and service delivery initiative aimed at bridging gaps between the government and the grassroots.

Through programs like this, Guipos continues to empower communities and reinforce collaboration for sustainable local development.

📣 LGU-Guipos Participates in the 2026 Gawad KALASAG Assessment and Technical Training Workshop

The Local Government Unit of Guipos proudly joins the 2026 Gawad KALASAG Assessment and Technical Training Workshop, organized by the Zamboanga del Sur League of Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officers, Inc. This important activity will be held on May 06–08, 2026 at Hotel Guillermo, Pagadian City, gathering DRRM officers and partner LGUs across the province to strengthen disaster preparedness, response capabilities, and resilience-building initiatives.

Representing LGU-Guipos is Engr. Renan Ferrer Mangle , Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer, who actively participates in discussions, technical sessions, and capacity-building activities aimed at enhancing local DRRM systems and best practices.

Through this engagement, LGU-Guipos continues to uphold its commitment to a safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready community—working hand in hand with partner agencies and fellow LGUs in advancing effective disaster risk reduction and management programs.
