LOWER BINOGSACAN, Guinobatan, Albay โ Lower Binogsacan National High School (LBNHS) officially launched Brigada Eskwela 2026 on June 1 through a foot parade, opening program, and various stakeholder-led activities that highlighted the communityโs commitment to education and school improvement.
The kickoff began with a foot parade participated in by the LBNHS Drum and Lyre Band, students, parents, teachers, barangay officials, and other stakeholders. The parade was led by School Principal/ Brigada Eskwela Overall Chairman, Eden I. Bobis, signaling the start of the weeklong nationwide school maintenance and preparation program.
Following the parade, an opening program was held at the school grounds and hosted by Vera D. Avila, Teacher III. During the program, stakeholders reaffirmed their support for the schoolโs initiatives and preparations for the opening of classes.
One of the highlights of the event was the symbolic turnover of donations and completed structures from various partners and stakeholders. Among the major contributions were the perimeter fence donated by the School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA) and the steel school signage donated by the LBNHS Alumni Association. Other stakeholders also extended their support through various donations and services that will benefit the school community.
The program also featured the signing of the Commitment Wall, where stakeholders pledged their continued support for the schoolโs programs and projects. The activity was facilitated by Mary Ann A. Dasalla, Brigada Eskwela Assistant Chairman.
To promote wellness and camaraderie among participants, a Brigada Zumba session was conducted through the efforts of SPTA volunteers and teachers.
In the afternoon, selected learners received prescription eyeglasses during the Awarding of Prescription Glasses Program. The activity was conducted by the Sight for Kids Foundation (SKF) and the Tabaco City United Lions Club (TCULC) in partnership with the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), the Good Samaritan Battalion (49IB), and Johnson & Johnson Vision. Meanwhile, Cebuana Lhuillier extended its support to the school through the donation of bond paper, further strengthening the collective efforts of stakeholders in ensuring that LBNHS is ready for the opening of classes.
School officials expressed their gratitude to all stakeholders for their active participation and support, emphasizing that the success of Brigada Eskwela reflects the communityโs shared responsibility in ensuring a safe, clean, and learner-friendly environment for all students.
Brigada Eskwela 2026 will continue throughout the week with various school improvement and volunteer activities aimed at preparing LBNHS for the opening of classes and fostering stronger partnerships among education stakeholders.
