A stranded female Leatherback Sea Turtle approximately 150 kilos was found in the coastline of Barangay Santa Rosa Laguna around 11:20 this morning.

The dead Sea turtle was turned-over to SEAFDEC.

In Guimbal Tabagak fish is a staple viand “𝖣𝖺𝗉𝗅𝗂“ in many households, considering that Guimbal is a coastal Municipality.

The distinct salty and savory flavor of Tabagak adds depth and complexity to dishes. Tabagak fish is also a good source of protein, calcium, and other essential nutrients.

Traditionally, it is being washed, salted and sun-dried to prevent bacterial growth, extend its shelf life and to concentrates its natural flavors.

One dried Tabagak is available at Brgy. Bongol San Vicente, often 5-10 minutes ride from the town proper.

Approximately 150 “Banyeras” (4-5 Metric tons) of ALOY was totally caught by the locals.

This shows that when the resources is well managed, conserved and protected we can ensure an abundant Fisheries for Guimbalanons.

🐟Ini naga-usar sang tuman ka 𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙨𝙖𝙝𝙞 𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙩 kag ginakuha sini ang tuman ka gagmay nga isda nga indi na mahatagan sang kahigayunan nga magdalagko. Base sa pagtuon, 87-90% nga kuha sang sinsoro mga immature o magagmay nga dilis/ anchovies. Suno sa layi, bawal ang paggamit sang pino nga lambat maliban kun target sini ang wala na nagadalagko nga sahi sang isda.

Gani base sa pagtuon sang mga akademiko kag eksperto, ginpatuman sa Fisheries Management Area (FMA) 11 ang pagdumili sang paggamit sang sinsoro.

Pamatian naton ang mga testimoniya sang mga mangingisda sa Concepcion kuna no ang epekto sang pag-untat sang sinsoro sa ila lugar.
