The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) conducted the Training–Workshop on the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Module III-B: Utilizing CBMS Data in the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) from November 24 to 26, 2025, at the Subic Bay Travelers Hotel, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

The three-day activity was designed to further enhance the technical knowledge and planning competencies of local government officials, development planners, and implementers in the effective use of CBMS data. It provided in-depth discussions and guided workshops on data processing, analysis, interpretation, and the systematic integration of community-based information into the CDP framework.

Through this capacity-building initiative, participants were equipped to strengthen evidence-based and results-oriented planning at the local level. The training highlighted the importance of CBMS in enabling LGUs to accurately identify priority sectors and vulnerable populations, improve the targeting and efficiency of programs and projects, optimize the allocation of limited resources, and monitor development outcomes more effectively.

Overall, the activity reinforced the role of CBMS as a vital planning tool that supports informed decision-making, inclusive development, and responsive local governance anchored on reliable and timely community-level data.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) successfully conducted the Localized Pre-Marriage Counseling Training from October 13 to 17, 2025, held at the Ephata Development Center in San Fernando City, Pampanga. This training is a key program aimed at preparing and accrediting Pre-Marriage Counselors, who play a vital role in guiding couples toward responsible and informed family life.

Through this comprehensive training, participants gained valuable knowledge on relationship building, communication, conflict resolution, and other essential aspects of marital preparation, ensuring that couples receive professional guidance in strengthening their future family foundations.

We commend the active involvement of Population Program Officer III, Engr. Victoriano V. Salvador, and Planning Officer II, Engr. Ferdinand P.
