Gubat Library Hub is Ready!
After days of hardwork, dedication and teamwork during Brigada Eskwela/ Bayanihan sa Paaralan 2026, our Library Hub is now ready to welcome learners, teachers and visitors.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all volunteers ,partners,parents, teachers, non-teaching personnel and stakeholders who shared their time , effort and resources to make a library makeover initiative a success.
Special thanks to Gawad Kalinga and the Sorsogon Provincial Library and Information Center for their invaluable support and contribution ,your generosity and commitment helped transform our Library hub into a more welcoming and inspiring place for learning.

BAYANIHAN SA PAARALAN 2026
Gubat South Central School
June 1-5, 2026
In line with the Bayanihan sa Paaralan 2026. the first day of activities was successfully conducted through the collective efforts of our partners and volunteers from Gawad Kalinga, Sorsogon Provincial Library and Information Center, SDO Sorsogon Province LRMDS ,DPWH, Gubat Water District, PNP, parents, teachers,school principal, non-teaching staff, and other stakeholders.
The activity started with a motorcade, followed by the opening program, after which participants proceeded to their respective assignments and work areas.
As part of the initiative , the Maleta Library conducted Read and Feed activities and distributed educational supplies and baon packs to selected learners under the DepEd Aral Program.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners, volunteers and supporters whose time , effort and generosity made this meaningful activity possible.Together , we continue to embody the true spirit of bayanihan in creating a better learning environment for our learners.

Conducted a meeting with JM Batalla from Gawad Kalinga, Christine Sincua and Lorelyn Locaba from the Sorsogon Provincial Library and Information Center, Juvilyn Red, Principal Gubat South Central School, together with Cynthia Escober SDO Librarian Sorsogon Province, for the upcoming Bayanihan sa Paaralan on June 1-5, 2026.
Hand on hand we are preparing meaningful activities and initiatives for our learners through teamwork, collaboration and the spirit of bayanihan.

A truly memorable experience attending the Bayanihan Challenge organized by Gawad Kalinga, in collaboration with partners nationwide , held last April 30- May 4 ,2026 at Sta. Magdalena, Sorsogon.
As part of the event , Maleta Library activities were successfully conducted with the participation of Gawad Kalinga, DepEd Sorsogon Province and City LRMDS, Talaonga NHS Library, Sorsogon Provincial Library and Information Center in collaboration with Barangay Captain and officials of Barangay San Roque, Sta. Magdalena.
This meaningful event reminded us of our shared mission --- ensuring that no child is left behind. Activities such as Read and Feed, Read Aloud and storytelling were successfully carried out , bringing joy and learning to the children.
Greatful to be part of this inspiring initiative!

Grateful to the top management headed by sir SDS Jose L. Doncillo, CESO V , for giving me the opportunity to once again witness the Philippine Book Festival 2026 held on March 11-13,2026 at SM Megamall Megatrade hall.
The event, hosted by the National Book Development Board in partnership with the DepEd ,gathered Regional LR Supervisors, Regional Librarians, SDO Librarians, publishers, stakeholders, and book lovers from all over the Philippines.
Truly a meaningful experience to learn, explore and celebrate book and reading with fellow educators and library professionals.
