Celebrating the 63rd Fish Conservation Week and 7th Fish Conservation Week in BARMM with a theme “Lusay, Korales, at Bakawan: Yaman ng Karagatan, Masaganang Buhay ng Pamayanan”
In celebration of the 63rd and 7th Fish Conservation Week in BARMM, the MAFAR Datu Paglas Team and Local Field Technicians, together with our dedicated fisherfolk and OJTs, conducted a Clean-Up Drive at Brgy. Palao sa Buto, Datu Paglas.
The activity promotes environmental awareness, community participation, and the importance of protecting our inland water resources for present and future generations.
As part of the activity, the Aquaculturist also shared a brief information session on Fish Conservation Week, highlighting the importance of responsible fishing practices and raising awareness about the harmful effects of illegal fishing activities on fish populations, aquatic ecosystems, and the livelihood of fisherfolk.
Through collective action, we can help keep our waters clean, protect our fisheries resources, and promote sustainable and responsible fishing practices.
“Protect Our Fisheries, Preserve Our Future.”🐟🌱
