WHY ARE THERE DISTANCE REQUIREMENTS?

The required setbacks for poultry and piggery farms are established to:

Rules and Regulations Governing the Approval of Poultry and Piggery Farm Locations

Provides the minimum locational standards and setback requirements for poultry and piggery farms, including distances from:
• Built-up areas
• Groundwater sources
• Roads and highways
• Other poultry and piggery farms

Empowers Local Government Units to:
