As the Kahiusa 2026 ends the race of kites in the skies, Clyde Almaden, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Apopong chairperson, reminded the youth of the real essence of kahiusa: once a simple dream that eventually turned into a festival that brought the youth of Apopong together regardless of their districts.

In his closing remarks, Almaden recalled how the journey began with ideas, uncertainties, and limited resources, later transforming into programs that touched lives and gave young people opportunities to showcase their talents.

He also expressed gratitude and pride to the core team, visual team, editorial board, and other youth volunteers that made Kahiusa 2026 possible.

Almaden reiterated that ‘kahiusa’ is more than a competition, emphasizing that its true value lies in the friendships formed, talents discovered, challenges overcome, and memories created.

As the festival concluded, he encouraged the youth to carry the friendships and experiences they gained throughout Kahiusa 2026, reminding them that the people they met would matter more than the scores, medals, or trophies.
