September 4, 2026, at about 5:38 AM, personnel of Police Station 1, GSCPO together with personnel of Mobile Patrol Unit GSCPO, implemented a search warrant. The operation resulted to the arrest of the suspect, 41 years old, single, tricycle driver, and a resident OF Torres Strret, Barangay Dadiangas North, General Santos City.
Seizing Officer was able to recover Two (2) pieces small size rectangular heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu. b. one (1) unit homemade short fi***rm described as caliber .38 revolver without serial number loaded with two (2) live ammunitions on its cylinder c.one (1) piece cotton buds plastic, and; d.One sling bag color black.

The seized items were subsequently brought to Police Station 1, for proper disposition and documentation while appropriate charges for Violation of Section 11, Article II of RA 9165 and violation of Sec 28 Article II of RA 10591 are being prepared for filing against the suspect. The suspect was informed on the nature of his arrest and was apprised on his constitutional rights in a language known to him which he fully understood then he was brought to Jorge P Royeca Hospital for medical examination and subsequently placed inside custodial facility of this station.

During the activity, business owners were informed of the legal consequences of selling illicit to***co products and were encouraged to support government efforts in combating smuggling and promoting lawful business practices.
The activity reflects PS1โ€™s commitment to protecting legitimate businesses, strengthening community awareness, and supporting economic stability through the prevention of illegal trade and smuggling activities.
