Our office was one with Goldenstate College – General Santos City in celebrating the 19th Tuna Festival Skills Olympics, held today at Robinsons Place GenSan as part of our city’s Tuna Festival celebration.
For 19 years, Goldenstate College has continued to make the Skills Olympics a meaningful part of the Tuna Festival, providing our young learners with a platform to showcase their culinary skills, creativity, discipline, and passion for the culinary arts.
More than a competition, this annual event celebrates the value of skills and the importance of continuous learning—where training is transformed into competence, creativity into beautiful creations, and passion into the pursuit of excellence.
To our learners and aspiring culinary professionals, remember that every great chef begins as a learner. Every dish you prepare, every technique you master, and every challenge you overcome brings you one step closer to excellence. Embrace the experience, learn from one another, and allow every competition to sharpen not only your skills, but also your confidence and character.
My warm appreciation to President/CEO Dr. Warren Manilay, Dr. Sara Manilay, Liaison Officer John Victor Manuel, together with the faculty and staff of Goldenstate College, for continuing this 19-year tradition of promoting skills, excellence, and opportunities for our young people.
Thank you as well to Department of Tourism Region 12 Regional Director Nelia “King” Arina and Assistant Regional Director Engr. Armin Hautea for your continued support in initiatives that celebrate our city, our tourism industry, and the talents and skills of our people.
Congratulations to all the participants! May you continue to cook with creativity, work with discipline, and pursue your craft with passion. 👩🍳👨🍳🏆
