Last year, our Senior's Division has clinched the 2nd Win, while our Junior Division clinched 1st Place in Gensan Summer Youth Festival 2025. Held at Oval gym, General Santos City.

This year's basketball tournament are played in two age brackets, the Junior and Senior categories. The Basketball Tournament is one of the highlights under Summerlympics, one of the components of GSYF 2026. San Jose are now ready to bounce back in this year’s installment of the Summerlympics 2026 Basketball Junior, and Senior Division.

Just 1 day to go before the 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 of Barangay San Jose kicks off! Get ready to cheer on our 𝑲𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒂𝒏 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒆 and witness some thrilling matches. Make sure to join us for an exciting season of sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Last April 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM, held at Brgy. Gym San Jose, the Sangguniang Kabataan of San Jose, under the leadership of Hon. Charisse Barde, successfully conducted the 1st Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly.

This initiative is in accordance with Republic Act No. 10742 (Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015), which mandates the conduct of KK Assemblies to ensure transparency, accountability, and active youth participation in governance.

The assembly covered the following key agendas:
✔️ Comprehensive Barangay Youth Development Plan (CBYDP) 2025–2027
✔️ Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program (ABYIP) 2026
✔️ Annual Budget 2026
✔️ ABYIP 2027

On the same day, the 7th SK Council San Jose also successfully organized engaging activities that showcased the creativity and talents of the youth:

Food Arrangement Competition
Acoustic Band Competition

To further energize the event, exciting raffle draws were conducted, highlighted by an Android phone as the grand prize.
Indeed, it was a remarkable and meaningful day—strengthening youth empowerment, participation, and unity in building a better community.

The Katipunan ng Mga Kabataan (𝑲𝑲) is the basic unit of the Sangguniang Kabataan. As stipulated in the Republic Act 10742, KK serves as the highest policy-making body to decide on matters affecting the youth in the barangay. The 7th Sangguniang Kabataan Unit of Barangay San Jose will conduct its First Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly or otherwise known as Meeting of the Katipunan ng Kabataan.

‼️FOOD ARRANGEMENT COMPETITION‼️

GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS

1. All the district shall be at the avenue 1 hour prior to the competition. The district who will not comply may be disqualified.
2. Menu shall be placed on the table
3. District are allowed to create their own ideas and concepts provided that they have followed the guidelines.

Criteria for judging

CORRECTNESS 30%
All table set-up shall be checked by the judges and the organizers

PERSONAL PRESENTATION 20%
Appropriate standard for setting up a table shall be strictly followed including mise-en-place and cleanliness

ORIGINALITY OF CONCEPT 30%
Table set-up stands out and distinctive
Adherence to the theme is presented

VISUAL APPEAL 20%
Has a visual impact

‼️ACOUSTIC BAND COMPETITION ‼️

GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS
* Each District shall provide only one acoustic band with 2-3 members.
* Each band must have at least one vocalist and at least one acoustic instrument (e.g., guitar, ukulele, or cajón).
* Each band will be given a maximum of 5 minutes to perform 1 song, otherwise 2 points shall be deducted for every excess minute.
* Between performances, you can only sing the OPM songs (Original Pilipino Music) or your own composition.
* Only acoustic instruments are allowed. No electric or heavily synthesized sounds.
* Judges decisions are final and cannot be contested.
* Officers reserve the right to adjust contest mechanics to uphold the contest's values and integrity.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
* Musicality (35%)- Quality of music arrangement, harmony, and instrumental skill.
* Vocal Performance (30%)- Clarity, emotion, and overall impact of the vocal delivery.
* Creativity (20%) - Originality in arrangement or composition.
* Stage Presence (15%) - Engagement with the audience and confidence on stage.
