Pinangunahan ng Filipino Department sa pangungulo ni Gng. Charmaine Bisnar ang pagtatapos ng Buwas ng Wika, ginawa ang pampinid na palatuntunan sa ika-26 ng Agosto 2026 ng hapon.

Mas lalong pinatingkad at makulay ang pagdiriwang dahil sa iba’t -ibang pakulo ng kaguruan ng Filipino tampok ang mga kasuotang Pilipino na sinabayan pa ng katutubong sayaw, makulay na posters, at ang pinakatinutukan ng lahat ay ang paligsahan ng Lakan at Lakambini na tinilian at hiniyawan ng maraming mag-aaral.

Ang pagtatapos na ito ay kasiya-siya sapagkat nagsilbi din ito bilang paggawad ng mga parangal sa mga nagwagi.

Tunay ngang ang kulturang Pilipino ay dapat lang isabuhay, hindi lang sa salita kundi maging sa gawa.

LOOK: INSPECTION OF ROOMS FOR SAFETY OF STUDENTS AGAINST PRINCIPALITIES AND HARM

The school principal, Dr. Hector Ponferrada together with Department Heads and the SDRRM Coordinator Mr. Reynaldo Ballos lead the inspection of rooms for the safety of the students against invaders and onsite shooting incidents.

The school is directing all personnel to stay alert and sharp at all times, inspecting bags of students and that no one is allowed to enter the gates of the school without permit and security check.

YES-O LEADS SUCCESSFUL TREE PLANTING DRIVE AS GRADE 10 PERFORMANCE TASK IN VALUES EDUCATION

GANDARA, Samar — In line with promoting environmental stewardship and values formation, the Youth for Environment in School Organization (YES-O) of Ramon T. Diaz National High School successfully conducted a Tree Planting Activity on August 14, 2026 at the school campus and in an identified area in Brgy. Catorse de Agosto.

The activity was led by YES-O Officers and Volunteers and was initiated by Grade 10 students as part of their Performance Task in Values Education through Sir Menard Uy.

A total of 15 seedlings of fruit-bearing trees were planted by 34 student participants, teachers, and YES-O members. The activity aimed to increase the school’s green cover, prevent soil erosion, and instill in learners the value of caring for the environment.

“Planting a tree is an act of hope. It teaches us responsibility, patience, and love for God’s creation."

The YES-O Adviser and Values Education Teacher, emphasized that the activity was not just a requirement but a meaningful application of the values of makakalikasan and makabayan.

Through this performance task, our Grade 10 students learned that small actions like planting one tree can create a big impact for future generations.

The activity concluded with a commitment from YES-O to conduct regular monitoring and nurturing of the seedlings to ensure their growth and survival.

This tree planting drive is part of YES-O’s Clean and Green Program and supports the Department of Education’s advocacy for environmental protection and disaster risk reduction.
