Konse Eddie with Work Immersion Students from Gamay National High School, Anito National High School, and Bangon National High School.

Under Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 30, s. 2017, Work Immersion is a required component for Grade 12 Senior High School students, where they must complete at least 80 hours of hands-on training in real workplace settings.

This program helps learners apply classroom knowledge, develop practical skills, and prepare for employment, entrepreneurship, or further studies while ensuring proper safety standards and appropriate work-hour limits.

𝗞𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗘 𝗘𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗚𝗢 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝟭𝗦𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗡 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗥 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

PPSK Gamay President Konsehal Eddie Pelembergo expressed his full support for the 1st Northern Samar Youth Parliament organized by the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) of the Provincial Government of Northern Samar. The event was held on October 24–26, 2025, at the Royal Palm Hotel in Pambujan, Northern Samar.

Konsehal Pelembergo served as one of the resource persons during the event, where he shared his expertise on the proper conduct of legislative sessions and the application of parliamentary procedures with the young parliamentarians. The parliament brought together 90 youth delegates from various youth organizations across the province. It provided a meaningful venue for the youth to experience and understand the legislative process in the Philippines, particularly in crafting resolutions and conducting sessions and deliberations.

The outputs and policy proposals crafted during the activity will form part of the priority legislative agenda on youth development of the province. These measures will be sponsored by Board Member Gerardo Gerard A. Miranda, PPSK President, at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Northern Samar.

🧠 𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞 𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗗! 💚

This morning during its regular session, the 25th Sangguniang Bayan of Gamay approved the Mental Health Break Ordinance of 2025, which I proudly authored.

Under this ordinance, all public elementary and secondary schools in our municipality will now have one (1) day of Mental Health Break after every quarterly exam — a simple but meaningful step to help our students rest, recharge, and take care of their well-being.

This local measure supports the Basic Education Mental Health and Well-Being Promotion Act (RA 11706) and our shared goal of making schools not just centers of learning, but also safe spaces for healing and growth.

Because at the end of the day, mental health is just as important as academic success.

25TH SANGGUNIANG BAYAN OF GAMAY HOLDS INAUGURAL SESSION

The 25th Sangguniang Bayan of the Municipality of Gamay, Northern Samar formally convened its Inaugural Session today, July 2, 2025 at the SB Session Hall, marking the beginning of its legislative term. The session was presided over by Vice Mayor Clarita P. Gomba and attended by both newly elected and returning members of the local legislative body.

Welcomed during the session were neophyte members Hon. Renie Rebay, Hon. Aida A. Calim, and Hon. Romulo D. Albino. Also present were returning legislators who previously held key positions in local governance, including Hon. Raquel T. Capoquian (former Mayor), Hon. Moveble “Dodoy” D. Martinico (former Vice Mayor) and Hon. Crisanta C. Montances (former 2nd District Board Member). They joined incumbent members Hon. Teresita T. Valles and Hon. Belarmino A. Albino, along with ex-officio members Hon. Nimfo G. Jaldo of the Liga ng mga Barangay and Hon. Eddie D. Pelembergo, Jr. of the Pambayang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan.

Key agenda items included the adoption of the Internal Rules of Procedure (IRP) of the 25th SB, and the election of Standing Committee officers. Vice Mayor Gomba emphasized the unity and collaboration in crafting ordinances and resolutions that will uplift the lives of Gamaynons. The 25th Sangguniang Bayan reaffirmed its commitment to transparent, inclusive, and people-centered legislation for the betterment of the municipality.
