๐Ÿ“Œ STAKEHOLDERS GATHER FOR 160th GAINZA TOWN FIESTA PLANNING AND PREPARATION

Earlier today, June 1, 2026, a Stakeholders' Meeting was successfully conducted at the 3rd Floor Function Hall, Municipal Building, Gainza, Camarines Sur, to discuss plans, programs, and activities for the upcoming 160th Gainza Town Fiesta.

The meeting was headed by Mayor Glenn Romeo Gontang, together with Vice Mayor Jose Jun A. Teodoro Jr., Municipal Administrator Doreen Bentor Tranquilino and Tourism Designee Roselle Alfonso Paz, and attended by Department Heads, Punong Barangays, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Department of Education (DepEd), representatives from the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and the Parish Pastoral Council.

Through collaborative discussions and shared commitments, stakeholders worked together to ensure the successful implementation of activities and the promotion of a safe, meaningful, and memorable celebration for all.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed their valuable insights as we prepare for a vibrant and united Gainza Town Fiesta.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) convened the Municipal CBMS Coordinating Board in Gainza, Camarines Sur to discuss preparations for the 2027 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS).

The activity highlighted the importance of strengthening local coordination, maintaining updated data, and supporting evidence-based planning and decision-making for effective governance and delivery of government programs.

โ€‹Today, May 15, 2026, a specialized Technology Training on Vetiver Grass Technology was successfully held at the Municipal Covered Court, spearheaded by Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA)and Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in partnership with Local Government Unit of Gainza headed by Mayor Glenn Romeo M. Gontang. The activity equipped participants with practical knowledge of Vetiver Grass applications in environmental protection, soil conservation, and erosion control. It concluded by planting 2,500 vetiver tillers in Barangay District 2 along Bicol Riverbank to serve as natural soil erosion protection. Another 1500 vetiver strips was shared to our community volunteers.

โ€‹Through this partnership, the community continues to strengthen its resilience and commitment to a greener, more sustainable future.
