PAF NEWS | PAF SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAMS ASSIST AFFECTED COMMUNITIES IN PAMPANGA

The Philippine Air Force (PAF), through the 505th Search and Rescue Group (505SRG), deployed Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) teams to Bacolor and San Fernando, Pampanga, on August 30, 2026, following the effects of the southwest monsoon (Habagat) and Tropical Cyclone “Pilandok.” The teams responded to affected areas and worked alongside local disaster response units, Philippine Army personnel, and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) in carrying out rescue and evacuation efforts.

The PAF continues to maintain its search and rescue capability in the area, with personnel and equipment kept ready for possible missions. The deployment forms part of the PAF’s Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) efforts to provide timely support to communities affected by emergencies and severe weather conditions.

PAF NEWS | PAF REMAINS STEADFAST IN HADR OPERATIONS IN NORTHERN LUZON

The Philippine Air Force (PAF), through the Tactical Operations Wing Northern Luzon (TOWNOL), PAF; 600th Air Base Group, Installation Management Command, PAF; and 710th Special Operations Wing, PAF, in close coordination with the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and Local Government Units (LGUs), facilitated the delivery of family food packs from Global Aseana Business Park 2, San Simon, Pampanga to Macabebe, Pampanga on August 29, 2026.

Utilizing the PAF’s KM-250 truck, the personnel transported and delivered essential relief supplies for distribution to families affected by the ongoing humanitarian situation in Northern Luzon.

The operation underscores the PAF’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR), working alongside government agencies and local stakeholders to ensure that timely assistance reaches communities in need.

Through sustained inter-agency coordination and responsive support, the PAF remains ready to serve and assist Filipinos in times of crisis.

Araw ng mga Bayani —Hukbong Himpapawid

“Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear the uniform.”

Sa Araw ng mga Bayani, ating pinararangalan ang mga bayaning nag-alay ng buhay para sa kalayaan at kinabukasan ng ating bayan.

Kabilang dito ang Hukbong Himpapawid na buong tapang na nagbabantay sa himpapawid, tumutugon sa sakuna, nagbibigay ng humanitarian assistance, at naglilingkod para sa kaligtasan at seguridad ng bansa.

Sa bawat misyon at sakripisyo, ipinapakita nilang ang tunay na kabayanihan ay pusong handang maglingkod para sa kapwa at bayan.

BASA AIR BASE DRTU CONDUCTS RESCUE OPERATIONS AMID RISING FLOODWATERS

Basa Air Base Disaster Response Team Unit (BAB DRTU), composed of personnel from the 540th Air Base Group, 5th Fighter Wing, 355th Aviation Engineer Wing and 960th Air and Missile Defense Wing, conducted humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) operations on 28 August 2026 in response to rising floodwaters brought about by continuous heavy rainfall.

Equipped with rubber boats, life vests, and hard hats, the BAB DRTU deployed two teams to Brgy. Panbanlag, Floridablanca, Pampanga and Brgy. Sto. Cristo, Lubao, Pampanga, where floodwaters reportedly reached critical levels.

The teams coordinated with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Floridablanca and local authorities before proceeding to affected areas to conduct rescue operations.

The operation highlights the Philippine Air Force’s continued commitment to providing immediate assistance and support to communities affected by disasters and calamities.

PANOORIN || Ating kilalanin ang 355th Aviation Engineer Wing, ang yunit na hindi lamang nagtatayo ng mga pasilidad, kundi nagpapatibay rin sa kahandaan ng Hukbong Himpapawid ng Pilipinas. Mula sa konstruksyon at rehabilitasyon ng mga paliparan, hanggang sa pagsuporta sa mga humanitarian mission

BALITANG PAF | DRTU NG TOG 3, NAKIPAGTULUNGAN SA SANDBAGGING OPERATIONS SA TARLAC

Bilang bahagi ng Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) operations ng Philippine Air Force (PAF), nakipagtulungan ang Disaster Response Tasked Unit (DRTU) Team ng Tactical Operations Group 3 (TOG 3) sa Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Tarlac para sa sandbagging operations noong Agosto 22, 2026, sa San Isidro, Tarlac City.

Kasama rin sa kasalukuyang operasyon ang mga personel mula sa iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan at mga sangay ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). Patuloy na pinupunan, inihahatid, at inilalagay ang mga sandbag na naglalaman ng ilang toneladang buhangin sa mga apektadong bahagi ng ilog upang mapatatag ang lugar at makatulong na maiwasan ang karagdagang pinsala dulot ng Southwest Monsoon.

Patuloy namang nakikiisa ang PAF sa mga lokal na pamahalaan, iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan, at mga sangay ng AFP sa pagtugon sa mga pangangailangan ng mga komunidad na apektado ng kalamidad.

PAF NEWS | PAF, PATULOY ANG RELIEF OPERATIONS SA SARANGANI

Patuloy ang Philippine Air Force, sa pangunguna ng 205ᵗʰ Tactical Helicopter Wing, sa paghahatid ng food packs at iba pang relief goods sa mga komunidad na naapektuhan ng magnitude 7.8 offshore earthquake sa Sarangani noong Hunyo 2026. Sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa OCD Region XII, DSWD Field Office XII, at mga lokal na pamahalaan, ginagamit ng PAF ang air mobility upang maihatid ang kinakailangang tulong sa mga liblib na lugar na mahirap maabot sa pamamagitan ng lupa.

Mula Hunyo hanggang sa kasalukuyan, patuloy na nakatuon ang PAF sa paghahatid ng tulong sa mga komunidad na higit na nangangailangan, bilang bahagi ng tuloy-tuloy nitong humanitarian assistance and disaster response efforts.
