The Municipal Tribal Affairs Unit (MTAU) of Esperanza actively participated in the Session and Workshop on the Regional Consultative Body (RCB): Ten-Year IPED Program Assessment (Part II).

Representing the municipality were Municipal IPMR of Esperanza, Datu Ligon-ligon Hon. Randy R. Manpatilan, accompanied by MTAU Head Datu Walagon Teddy M. Manpatilan Jr.; Bae Manyaguyad Luciano Rico for the Manobo ICCs; Ricky Manpatilan for the Higaonon and representatives from the IP communities of San Luis, including the Banwaon and Talaandig ICCs.

Also present at the activity was Atty. Fritzie Lynne Sumando, Regional Legal Officer representing the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), whose presence underscored the importance of inter-agency collaboration in advancing IP education.

The workshop was spearheaded by various IPED Coordinators across the Caraga Region, including Mr. Tomas M. Ferrol III, Education Program Supervisor of Agusan del Sur, alongside Mr. Noel Monton, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) from Bayugan City.

The primary objective of the activity was to further strengthen the implementation of the IPED program by anchoring it on the Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSP) of Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs). The use of native dialects was emphasized as a key strategy in culturally responsive teaching and learning.

As the IPED Program marks a decade of dedicated service, the event reflected on its milestones and reaffirmed its commitment to fostering inclusive and culturally grounded education for IP learners across the region.

βœ…Ibatasan ang saktong paghugas sa kamot gamit ang tubig og sabon o hand sanitizer;

βœ…Limpyuhan ang mga gamit labi na ang mga butang nga permanenti nga ginahawiran;

βœ… Kung puwede, likayan ang mga aktibidad nga pwedeng makaresulta ug close contact sa usa ka infected individual;

βœ… Magsoot ug long sleeves, pantalon, ug facemask sa mga matao nga lugar;
