The 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 successfully conducted the 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 2026 under the leadership of 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗦. 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝘀 and facilitated by Tourism Officer 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮.

The event featured the 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, the presentation of “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽” 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼, and the awarding of 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗦𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻𝘀 in recognition of the interns’ dedication, hard work, and valuable contributions.

Representing the City were 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐐. 𝐒𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐨, City Tourism Officer; 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐎. 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐬, Chairperson of the Tourism Council; and 𝐈𝐟𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐚, Assistant Tourism Officer. The delegation extends its sincere gratitude to 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝐒. 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐬, 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫, for his unwavering support and continued commitment to initiatives that promote culture, heritage, and sustainable tourism development.

The training provided a valuable platform for strengthening the integration of culture, history, and heritage into local governance and development planning, while fostering greater cultural awareness and appreciation among local government units. It also highlighted the importance of decolonization perspectives in preserving and promoting local identities within the framework of sustainable development.

Through its active participation in this significant undertaking, the City Tourism Office of El Salvador City reaffirms its commitment to the preservation and promotion of the city's cultural heritage, the advancement of inclusive historical understanding, and the implementation of tourism and development programs that celebrate and strengthen the rich identity of El Salvador City.
