The City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), in coordination with the Local Government of El Salvador City and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Region X, conducted this activity on December 10, 2024, at Hotel Monicon, El Salvador City.
The event featured the official unveiling and turnover of the โResilient Tagnipaโ Conceptual Urban Plan, a key component of the Cityโs Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP). City Mayor Edgar Lignes presented the vision for the Tagnipa Green District, a five-hectare public property envisioned as a culture-driven, mixed-use development that promotes sustainable, climate-resilient, and inclusive urban growth.
The activity served as a platform to align strategic communication approaches that will support public awareness, stakeholder engagement, and policy adoption related to the CLUP and its priority development areas. It underscored the City Governmentโs commitment to effective land use planning, transparency, and collaborative governance in advancing long-term urban development goals.
