ACTIVITY: Tree Growing Activity
VENUE: Barangay Villa Libertad, El Nido, Palawan
I. PARTICIPATING UNIT
Personnel from Charlie Company, 1703rd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn), 1703rd Community Defense Center (CDC), 17th Regional Community Defense Group (RCDG), Philippine Army Reserve Command, led by Sgt Anabel Quimat PA (RES), Company First Sergeant, under the supervision of 2LT Joseph Estolloso PA (RES), Company Commander, and with the leadership of LTC Niño Estoya MNSA PA (RES), Battalion Commander, and LTC Arnel Lachama (MI) PA, CDC Director, participated in the tree growing activity.
II. DETAILS OF THE ACTIVITY
At about 0600H on 12 September 2026, personnel of Charlie Company participated in a Tree Growing Activity conducted at Barangay Villa Libertad, El Nido, Palawan.
The activity was conducted in coordination with personnel from the 11th Special Forces Company, led by CPT Justlee Bala-Oy (INF) PA, Company Commander, together with representatives from various government agencies, private-sector organizations, and other stakeholders.
The participating personnel actively contributed to the planting and nurturing of trees within the designated area. The activity promoted environmental protection, community involvement, and strengthened cooperation among the military, government agencies, private organizations, and the local community.
III. PURPOSE
The activity aimed to:
Promote environmental conservation and protection;
Increase awareness of the importance of trees and a healthy environment;
Encourage community participation in environmental activities;
Strengthen cooperation and camaraderie among participating agencies and organizations; and
Demonstrate the commitment of the Philippine Army Reserve Force to supporting sustainable and resilient communities.
IV. OUTCOME
The activity was successfully conducted through the active participation and cooperation of all involved personnel and stakeholders.
