LOOK: In line with the celebration of the Child Development Workers' Week 2026.

The day began with an energetic Zumba Fitness Activity, promoting health, wellness, and camaraderie among our CDWs. This was followed by the Instantaneous Search for Ms. Child Development Worker 2026, highlighting the confidence, talent, intelligence, and passion of our dedicated Child Development Workers.

A significant part of the program was the insightful Lecture on Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP), generously shared by Ms. April Marie A. Gregorio. Her expertise and valuable insights inspired our CDWs to continue providing responsive, age-appropriate, and quality early childhood care and education for every preschool learner.

The Local Government Unit of Echague proudly joins the nation in celebrating the Adoption and Alternative Child Care Week (AACCW) 2026, observed every second week of June.

Mandated under Republic Act No. 11642, the annual celebration seeks to raise public awareness on legal adoption and alternative child care programs that provide vulnerable children with safe, nurturing, and permanent family environments.

AACCW highlights the importance of ensuring that every child grows up in a loving and supportive home—whether with their birth family, an adoptive family, or through foster care and other alternative child care arrangements. It also strengthens advocacy for legal adoption and alternative child care processes while discouraging illegal practices such as child trafficking and online baby selling. Through information and education campaigns, the public is encouraged to support and participate in lawful programs that provide family-based care for children who have been orphaned, abandoned, neglected, or voluntarily surrendered.
This year's theme, "𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒂 𝑭𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚," celebrates the many ways families are formed through love, commitment, and care. It recognizes that family is not defined solely by blood relations but by the enduring bonds that provide children with a sense of belonging, security, and hope for the future.
