Isabela State University (ISU) Palanan Extension Unit joined the recently concluded Two-Day Workshop on 2025 GAD Planning and Budgeting and Times Higher Education Impact Ranking (THEIR) at La Sunshine Hotel and Resort, Dinadiawan, Aurora on August 28-30, 2024.
The workshop was delivered by Ms. Ludivina T. Potot, the Division Chief of Budget and Management Specialist, DBMRO2. Ms. Potot Discussed the following topics: (1) Introduction to GAD Planning and Budgeting, (2) Harmonized Gender Nd Development Guidelines and Process of Attribution, and (3) Gender Analysis Tools and Techniques for ISU with Workshop. During the workshop, Ms. Potot highlighted pressing issues on the Region's GAD Attribution. She also emphasized the milestone that ISU has succeeded in terms of Gender Equality as the Institution has already finished its GAD Manual, wherein after the review process and Publication, ISU will be the first SUC in Region 2 to have a GAD Manual.
The workshop resumed in the afternoon, the different campuses were tasked to prepare their January to August 2024 Accomplishment Report, January 2023 to July 2024 GMEF Scores, September to November Catch Up Plan and 2025 GAD Plan and Budget. After the workshop, Campus GAD Focal Persons were tasked to present their reports .
On the Second day, Ms. Ana Marie M. Bahala,, the Project Manager of QS, presented the Impact Ranking of ISU in-terms of SDG 5 (Gender Equality). She highlighted that the effort of ISU when it comes to Gender Equality is leveling up with other indicators in THEIR.
