The 2026 Manila Coffee Festival took place on July 17 to 19, 2026, at Megatrade Halls 1–3, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City. This three-day event was held in collaboration with the Coffee Expo Manila and the Biyaya Sustainable Living Festival, celebrating local coffee culture, sustainable agriculture, and independent Filipino cafes. Nueva Vizcaya participated in the Manila Coffee Festival 2026 through 3 of our very own products: Aruga Handwovens, Bugkalot Coffee Farmers and Felisa’s Grind and Brew.
Felisa's Grind and Brew showcased local agricultural flavors. Operating from Booth J in The Coffee Village, the shop is served a specialized menu of handcrafted drinks inspired by the province. The lineup features unconventional flavor profiles, including Kape Napula (tomato coffee), Kasibu Citrus Blanc (Satsuma), Kultura (fermented ginger), the Katmon Project and Kongkong Latte. The drinks are formulated using a signature local blend of Kayapa Arabica, Quezon Robusta and Bagabag Robusta coffee beans grown within the province. The Bugkalot Coffee Farmers Association from Talbec, Dupax Del Sur also had a booth for their premium beans together with the Egongot Association of Quirino.
Aside from a booth for Aruga Handwovens, founder and owner Ms. Jeannie Laccay had the chance to share about reviving Isinay weaving in the Biyaya Speaks leactures. Biyaya Speaks is an empowering festival talk series and movement that celebrates local culture, heritage, and sustainability. It frequently features inspiring stories from industry experts, visionary leaders, farmers, and artisans. The festival talk series brought together voices from across the Philippines to share innovations and bring hope to the community. Aside from the Isinay weaving tradition, some of the notable sessions include:
Cultural Advocacy: Discussions on preserving and promoting local traditions, such as commissioning traditional scripts like Baybayin.
Lived Experiences: Stories of resilience, such as leaders and farmers sharing how their communities navigated and overcame regional challenges.
