The final day of the ANGAT Dumalinao: Environmental Leadership Camp concluded with meaningful learning experiences, inspiring presentations, and the celebration of youth-led environmental action and innovation.
The day started with Zumba and recreational activities facilitated by the Organizing Team, allowing participants to energize themselves and strengthen camaraderie before the final activities of the camp.
Participants also engaged in another experiential learning activity focused on mangrove identification and mangrove nursery visitation, where they learned about the importance of mangrove ecosystems in protecting coastal communities, preserving biodiversity, and mitigating the impacts of climate change. The activity deepened participantsโ appreciation of local environmental conservation efforts and highlighted the importance of community-based environmental protection initiatives.
The morning session continued with the Presentation of the IAMBAG Project facilitated by Christian Paul Vailoces, where participants were introduced to innovative environmental initiatives and sustainable project concepts that promote community engagement and environmental responsibility.
Participants were then guided by Elmer Barredo and Justine Paul Pangasian during the preparation for their final pitch presentations. Through mentorship and coaching, participants refined their project proposals, strengthened their advocacy messages, and finalized their environmental campaign presentations.
An inspiring keynote message was delivered by Hon. Raul F. Famor together with Rey Boaquenia, emphasizing the importance of youth participation, environmental leadership, and collective action in building sustainable and resilient communities. Their messages encouraged participants to continue becoming advocates of environmental stewardship and positive community change beyond the camp.
In the afternoon, participants proudly presented their proposed environmental policies, advocacy campaigns, and community-based environmental projects before the panel of judges. The presentations showcased the creativity, innovation, leadership, and dedication of the youth participants in addressing real environmental concerns within their communities.
This was followed by a meaningful panel discussion led by the judges focusing on successful youth-led environmental projects and initiatives. The discussion provided valuable insights, constructive feedback, and inspiration for participants as they continue developing and implementing environmental advocacies in their respective communities.
The three-day camp officially concluded through the Awarding of Seed Grants, Certificates, Photo Opportunities, and Fellowship Activities facilitated by the Organizing Team. Outstanding environmental project proposals were recognized and awarded seed grants to support the implementation of innovative youth-led environmental initiatives.
Day 3 became a celebration of youth leadership, collaboration, environmental action, and community empowermentโmarking the successful conclusion of the ANGAT Dumalinao Environmental Leadership Camp.
As the camp comes to an end, may the lessons learned, friendships formed, and advocacies created continue to inspire the youth to become responsible environmental leaders and catalysts of positive change in their communities.
