The TIP was conducted by TESDA Negros Oriental Provincial Director Fletcher B. Gumahad, together with Jesila A. Ocariza, PTC-Dumaguete Center Administrator.

The training will be implemented under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) to equip scholars with the competencies to assist households in identifying health concerns, promote health and well-being, provide information and education on disease prevention and control, maintain health stations and records, and monitor the health status of households within their area of service.

Through this initiative, TESDA is building competent Barangay Health Workers committed to promoting healthier and more resilient communities.

TRAINING TO TRABAHO: 25 Bayawanons Receive SMAW Starter Toolkits

โ€‹A brighter future is in the works for 25 scholars in Bayawan City! Under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP), trainees for SMAW NC I officially received their welding machine starter toolkits today, March 26, 2026.

โ€‹The turnover ceremony was led by TESDA NIR Acting Regional Director Niรฑa Connie G. Dodd and TESDA Negros Oriental Provincial Director Fletcher Gumahad, alongside Bayawan City Mayor John "Jack" T. Raymond Jr.
โ€‹These toolkits serve as the foundation for sustainable livelihoods and enhanced skills development within the city.

โ€‹Daghang salamat, Bayawan City, sa inyong makanunayon nga suporta sa TVET! TESDA is hopeful that this partnership will continue to empower the local workforce through world-class skills training.

In celebration of National Womenโ€™s Month, employees of TESDA Negros Oriental Provincial Office and Provincial Training Center โ€“ Dumaguete, headed by Provincial Director Fletcher B. Gumahad, came together for a friendly pickleball game on March 24, 2026, at Paddle Garage, Noreco Rd., Mangnao, Dumaguete City.

The activity highlighted camaraderie, teamwork, and the vibrant spirit of TESDA employees as they celebrated womenโ€™s empowerment through sports and friendly competition. Beyond the court, the event served as a reminder of the strength, resilience, and valuable contributions of women in the workplace and the community.

As we celebrate National Women's Month, TESDA continues to champion gender equality and create spaces where everyone can thrive, grow, and succeed.

The TIP was conducted by TESDA Negros Oriental Provincial Director Fletcher B. Gumahad, together with Senior TESD Specialist Jicyl Ann L. Anguring as the Provincial Scholarship Focal, and Jesila A. Ocariza, PTC-Dumaguete Center Administrator.

The Training Induction Program (TIP) highlighted TESDAโ€™s mandate, provided an overview of its scholarship programs, and underscored the roles, responsibilities, and commitments of trainees, along with other key aspects essential to effective TVET implementation.
