The U.S. Department of State and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, through the US Embassy in the Philippines, have chosen Renz Macion, former SK Federation President of Dumaguete City, as one of the fellows to represent the Philippines in the 2024 Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Academic Fellow program.

This prestigious opportunity will take place at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, USA.

Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo commended Macion for being selected for this esteemed fellowship program, which is a testament of his dedication and competence as a youth leader.

Macion, who currently serves the Community Affairs Officer of the city, also acknowledged Mayor Remollo for his support during the selection process of the program.

This accomplishment not only reflects Macion's excellence in youth leadership but also underscores the potential for positive collaboration and exchange between youths in the Southeast Asia region and in the United States.
