DAR COMMEMORATES THE 128TH PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY! 🇵🇭

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) – Negros Oriental, headed by OIC PARPO II Engr. Manuel M. Galon, Jr., proudly joined the celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day held at Freedom Park, Provincial Capitol Grounds, Dumaguete City.

Together with other government officials, and fellow public servants, DAR personnel participated in honoring the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of our national heroes who fought for the freedom and sovereignty of our nation.

As the agency mandated to implement agrarian reform and uplift the lives of Filipino farmers, DAR remains committed to promoting social justice, rural development, and responsive public service.

𝐃𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 — In line with the 10th National ICT Month and its theme, “Isang Dekadang Digital: Konektado sa Puso at Serbisyo”, the Department of Agrarian Reform – Negros Oriental conducted a Gender-Responsive Digital Empowerment: Users’ Training on Digital Signature and Cybersecurity Awareness.

The training, led by OIC-PARPO II Engr. Manuel M. Galon, Jr., and attended by Division Chiefs and dedicated DAR personnel, focused on enhancing digital competency and promoting secure online practices. Participants engaged in hands-on training to generate Digital Certificates under the guidance of DICT Information Officer II Jule Buffit D. Machan. Additionally, DICT Planning Officer II Vince Niño T. Aladad conducted interactive sessions on Cybersecurity Awareness, covering essential practices for protecting sensitive data, preventing online threats, and ensuring secure communication channels.

The initiative aims to strengthen the agency’s digital readiness and empower staff in adopting technology tools essential for efficient and secure public service delivery.

Wellness at Work: DAR- Negros Oriental Strengthens Employee Wellness Through PhilHealth YAKAP Program

A healthy workforce is a strong workforce!

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) - Negros Oriental joined the PhilHealth YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program), bringing together health awareness, access to services, and preventive care in one meaningful activity.

Under the leadership of OIC PARPO II Engr. Manuel M. Galon, Jr. and through the partnership with the Provincial Health Office (PHO) headed by Dr. Liland Zoila B. Estacion and the PHO medical team, DARPO personnel participated in an Orientation, Registration Activity, and Medical Check-Up designed to keep everyone informed, covered, and healthy.

More than just an orientation, the activity empowered employees with valuable knowledge about PhilHealth Yakap Program benefits, provided assistance in updating their membership records, and basic health assessments to support their overall well-being.

Special thanks to the PHO Medical Team for bringing healthcare services closer to our workforce and for their continued dedication to public service.

Together, DAR and PHO continue to promote a healthier, stronger, and more empowered workforce because when health is a priority, everyone wins!

DAR–Negros Oriental Held a Blessing Ceremony for Three New Toyota Tamaraw Units, Bringing DAR Services Closer to Every Agrarian Reform Beneficiary (ARB).

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)–Negros Oriental officially welcomed and blessed its three newest Toyota Tamaraw units under Project SPLIT, marking another milestone in strengthening the delivery of agrarian reform services across the province.

These new service vehicles were provided through the leadership of DAR Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III under Project SPLIT to strengthen field operations and make agrarian reform services more accessible to agrarian reform beneficiaries, particularly those in far communities.

The blessing ceremony was led by OIC-PARPO II Engr. Manuel M. Galon, Jr., together with the division chiefs and personnel of DARPO–Negros Oriental. The blessing ceremony signified the official deployment of the vehicles in support of the agency's field operations and public service initiatives.

With these additional service vehicles, DAR personnel will be better equipped to conduct field validations, monitoring activities, and Project SPLIT implementation efforts, ensuring the timely delivery of services and the continued protection of farmers’ land rights throughout the province.

As DAR continues to strengthen its commitment to the agrarian reform program, these new Toyota Tamaraw units will help bring government services closer to the people and communities they are meant to serve.

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) - Negros Oriental recently concluded a successful three-day Training and Workshop on Understanding the Organizational Context and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Standards. The event was designed to further strengthen the agency's organizational effectiveness and reinforce its unwavering commitment to quality management and continuous improvement.

With the presence of our Regional Director Lucrecia S. Taberna and OIC-PARPO I Diona M. Molina, the activity provided a valuable platform for learning, collaboration, and professional development among DAR's ISO Champion, QMS Deputy, Division Chiefs, Section Heads, Process Owners, Process Writers, and Document Controllers. Participants actively engaged in meaningful discussions, interactive workshops, and strategic planning sessions aimed at deepening their understanding of organizational processes, stakeholder expectations, risk and opportunity management, and the core principles of quality management. The activity further promoted knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and a strengthened commitment to organizational excellence and quality service delivery.

DAR extends its sincere appreciation to Regional Director Florentino D. Siladan for serving as the esteemed resource person during the activity. His valuable expertise, insightful discussions, and sharing of best practices in organizational context analysis significantly enriched the participants’ learning experience, strengthened their understanding of key concepts, and inspired a deeper commitment to excellence, quality management, and continuous organizational improvement.
