Dumaguete City Water District Laboratory The first DOH-accredited facility in Negros Oriental that conducts Microbiological, Physical, and Chemical Analyses of water.

Access to safe drinking water is not only essential for the promotion and protection of public health but is a basic human right. Dumaguete City Water District Laboratory was constructed in accordance with the standards and requirements set by the Department of Health (DOH). It is the first water testing facility in Negros Oriental and is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments necessary for Microbiological and Physico-Chemical analysis of water and wastewater.

Ang isang chemical laboratory na sumusunod sa Republic Act 10657, o mas kilala bilang Chemistry Profession Act of 2015, ay binibigyan ng Certificate of Authority to Operate (CATO) matapos suriing mabuti ng Board of Chemistry. Tanging mga kumpanya o institusyong may nasabing katibayan ang maaaring magpatakbo ng isang chemical laboratory at magsagawa ng chemical analysis sa Pilipinas.

May karampatang mga parusa ang naghihintay sa isang kumpanya na mapatutunayang lumabag sa batas na ito. Ang pinakamataas na namumuno sa nasabing kumpanya ay maaaring makulong ng hanggang isang taon at/o pagbayarin ang kumpanya ng multang hanggang isang milyong piso.
