We wish to thank all those 923 who voted for PB Lilia “Bebe” Dante Batalan. You were there to support her, to cheer her on. For those who believe in her, who know all her accomplishments for our beloved Talay, the combined efforts of the Council, and her dedication as Punong Barangay for more than five years, salamat. To all those who supported her and her Council, who posted on social media, who helped in the campaign, the purok leaders, poll watchers, her family and friends, salamat. Nothing can measure your love for her and the people of Talay. Thank you very much. Even if we lost the brgy elections, we did not fail. PB Batalan gave her all, she did her best. Elections happen every three years and during this time, she will just be here, she will just be around, and will continue to promote and campaign for sincere and honest governance, so please do not give up on fighting for justice, fairness, and for the good of Talay. The power rests in your hands. Let us not tire ourselves. Let us be together as Talayanons, as Filipinos, to fight for the development of Talay. Daghang salamat. Mabuhi kitang tanan.

To those who don't believe in COVID a.k.a. "Trangkaso lang 'yan" or "Gawa gawa lang"
Please read this:

Recovery is not only 14 days... It's 6 or more months. Weakness lasts a long time and leaves many post-covid problems: forgetfulness, lung hurting, dizziness, tachycardia, more limited vision, compromised hearing and smell, a lot of tiredness, loss of muscle tonicity, and so many other problems that have been discovered little by little.

They said not to be alarmed -- It was a matter of hygiene, that this was going to make us better people, because it is not.... 😔 Some do not know the sadness and powerlessness of going through that or seeing a loved one sick and you not being able to do anything. People are treated like a walking bomb. Few put themselves in place. It's something I don't wish on anyone. In this most difficult time, we realize who our "TRUE FRIENDS" are or the people who truly appreciate and care for us.

Those who fought or is still in the fight against COVID don't deserve to be discriminated. This virus separated families and friends, and as a society, it's bringing out the worst in people.

Let's not forget that a COVID patient is a human being, who often doesn't even know how he got the virus and is fighting for his life.

Understanding with families who are COVID patient, let's not treat them like stranger bugs. They are human beings waging a battle.

Sadly some click like but don't read until the end because it takes time to read that and when they see it's a little long, they come back. I decided to share this message of support for those who fought, fought and continue to fight, for those who teach us to live everyday as if it were the best day of life! Now I look at those who have time to read this post until the end.

Please pay tribute to a family member a relative or a friend who died, recovered, or even for those who continue to fight COVID19.

Bie, can I edit ur post?

The mountain bike race in Talay was a successful event, yet very tiring. I lost my voice because of the scorching heat of the sun but it was worth seeing the event. It was so overwhelming and amazing though, despite some acts done by heartless and disrespectful people. In behalf of the Barangay Talay Council, my deep apologies to the participants who experienced reported illegal activities and alleged wrong/ill-mannered strategy of winning of some people/groups. At this point in time, we gathered news, stories from people who witnessed the race, especially where the thumb tacks were found, unfortunately. It was very disgusting and shameful to the bikers themselves doing these alleged acts as a sort of strategy of winning. Pls don't put all the blame on us, since before we started, two groups of our local volunteers inspected the trail but they only saw nails in one area but did not notice the spreading of thumb tacks. That was another story. To all bikers, be responsible enough, be professional, be good and be the best you can be, fairly and squarely. Thanks.

Saludo kami sa Brgy. Talay kang Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo sa 2nd round of 25 kgs of rice sa tanang households sa Brgy, Barangay TALAY. To Rey Patula, Ma'am Cathy, TJ Tanilon, ug sa DLYDO, etc., etc. Thank you so much.

To Carla Mapili, ug Nolan, sa snacks ug sakyanan, Larivico Cabalida, Ricardo Pinero, Kag. Teresita Lumhod, Kag. Catalino Bigno, Kag. Exequil Fat, all brgy councilors, 2 Chariots from Cares and SLR, Dodot Pis-an, volunteers, youth, dump truck sa city and motorcycles from Tanods, and everyone else who helped. Contact Tracers, BHWs, BNWs and 2 Pastors. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much. The distribution of rice would not have been made possible, without you all we have mentioned. To God be the Glory!
