Under the direct supervision of 𝑭𝑺𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑷 𝑱𝑶𝑬𝑩𝑬𝑹𝑻 𝑨 𝑺𝑨𝑵𝑨𝑶, Acting City Fire Marshal. Personnel of the Dumaguete City Fire Station actively participated in the First Monday Flag Ceremony held at the City Hall Grounds, Dumaguete City, alongside officials and employees of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dumaguete City.

The activity served as an avenue to strengthen unity, promote public service values, and reaffirm the commitment of government agencies in delivering efficient and responsive services to the community.

Earlier today, the Dumaguete City Fire Station proudly commenced the highly anticipated 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝑶𝒍𝒚𝒎𝒑𝒊𝒄𝒔 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at the Dumaguete City High School in Brgy. Calindagan! 🚒💨

This massive community preparedness initiative is spearheaded under the leadership of 𝑭𝑪𝑺𝑼𝑷𝑻 𝑹𝑶𝑫𝑶𝑳𝑭𝑶 𝑷 𝑫𝑬𝑵𝑨𝑮𝑨, 𝑫𝑺𝑪, Regional Director of the BFP Negros Island Region, with the direct supervision of 𝑭𝑺𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑷 𝑱𝑶𝑬𝑩𝑬𝑹𝑻 𝑨 𝑺𝑨𝑵𝑨𝑶, Acting City Fire Marshal of the Dumaguete City Fire Station.

The Fire Olympics aims to test the readiness, agility, and firefighting skills of our local barangay volunteer brigades, ensuring that every community is equipped and ready to respond to emergencies.

The Dumaguete City Fire Station has officially rolled out its latest community safety initiatives: the 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭 𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 and the 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔!

This major push for grassroots fire preparedness was launched under the steadfast leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐅𝐎 𝐏 𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐀, 𝐃𝐒𝐂 (Regional Director – BFP Negros Island Region), with the direct supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐉𝐎𝐄𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓 𝐀 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐎 (Acting City Fire Marshal – Dumaguete City Fire Station) and with our 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐥 “𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠” 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐚, City Mayor, Dumaguete City.

Plugging multiple high-load devices into one outlet increases electrical resistance and heat buildup, which may lead to overheating, short circuits, and potential fire incidents.

Households and workplaces are strongly advised to distribute electrical loads across multiple outlets and to utilize certified power strips equipped with built-in circuit breakers. Regular inspection of plugs, sockets, and extension cords should also be conducted to identify signs of wear, damage, or overheating.
