Tournament Guidelines: Inter-Barangay Basketball League
Opening Date:May 3, 2026
I. Registration & Slots
Team Capacity: Strictly limited to 16 slots only. First come, first served.
Entry Fee:โฑ3,000 per team.
No Entry Fee, No Play: This policy will be strictly enforced. The entry fee must be paid in full before the teamโs first scheduled game. Failure to settle the fee will result in automatic disqualification.
II. Eligibility & Player Qualifications
To ensure fair play and community representation, the following residency rules apply:
1. Residency Requirement: All players must be documented residents of the specific Barangay they are representing.
2. ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐๐น๐ ๐ก๐ผ "๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐" / ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ-๐ง๐ผ๐๐ป ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐: Only local residents are allowed. Players currently registered or playing in other town leagues are strictly prohibited from participating.
3. No Lo**ta Cup Players: In the interest of keeping this tournament for local grassroots talent, players currently or recently active in "Lo**ta Cup" or similar high-level commercial circuits are ineligible to play.
III. General Tournament Rules
Official Roster: Teams must submit their final roster (with proof of residency) during the registration period. No additions will be allowed once the opening ceremonies begin.
Uniforms: Teams are not required to wear matching jerseys with clear numbers on the back.
Technical Fouls: Any form of physical violence, unsportsmanlike conduct, or constant verbal abuse toward officials will result in immediate ejection and potential suspension from the league.
Default/Forfeit: A 15-minute grace period will be given. If a team fails to field at least five players within that time, the game will be declared a forfeit in favor of the opposing team.
IV.Opening Ceremony
Date: May 3
Call Time: All 16 teams must be present in the opening program.
Note:Please ensure all residency documents (e.g., Barangay Clearance or ID) are ready for verification by the committee to avoid any protests during the season.
