A Heartfelt Thank You to other LGU Offices!

The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) extends its sincere gratitude to the different offices of the Local Government Unit of Don Marcelino for their invaluable support in making the Environmental Walk 2026 a success.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), for keeping us safe by providing us with personnel despite the given calamity to attend to by the Local Government at this time.

Our sincere gratitude to our Local Chief Executive, Dr. Mark Edward Anthony M. Maruya, FPATACSI, for his unwavering support and approval of the Environmental Walk 2026.

ENVIRONMENTAL WALK 2026: Community Unites to Protect Don Marcelino’s Coastline

The Municipality of Don Marcelino successfully conducted the Environmental Walk 2026, bringing together volunteers, partner organizations, and local stakeholders in a united effort to protect and preserve our coastal environment.
Participants traversed a total of 6.81 kilometers of shoreline, from Sitio Migdolog, Barangay Talaguton to Sitio Looban, Barangay Lawa, collecting litter and promoting environmental stewardship through collective action. The activity served as a meaningful observance of Philippine Environment Month and demonstrated that caring for the environment is a shared responsibility.

The Local Government Unit of Don Marcelino extends its sincere gratitude to our Local Chief Executive, Dr. Mark Edward Anthony M. Maruya for his unwavering support and commitment to environmental protection, which greatly contributed to the success of this activity.

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED!

The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) Don Marcelino sincerely thanks everyone who registered for Environmental Walk 2026: AKSYON KLIMA – Bayanihang Mapagkalinga sa Kapaligiran. We are overwhelmed by your support and commitment to protecting our environment.

The Final List of Registered Participants is now officially posted. We encourage all registered participants to review the list and familiarize themselves with the program schedule before the event.

🛻 FREE TRANSPORTATION
To ensure a smooth and timely arrival at the assembly area, a dump truck will be available to ferry registered participants from the MENRO Office, Poblacion A, Kinanga, Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental to the assembly venue at Sitio Migdolog, Barangay Talaguton.

📍 Pick-up Point: MENRO Office, Poblacion A, Kinanga
🕓 Departure Time: 4:00 AM sharp July 10, 2026
⏰ Please arrive at least 15 minutes early, as the vehicle will leave on time.

TODAY : TRASH FOR RICE PROGRAM FOR BARANGAY DALUPAN, AND BARANGAY NUEVA VILLA.

Malampusong gipahigayon karong adlawa ang Trash for Rice Program sa Barangay Dalupan ug Barangay Nueva Villa, nga gipasiugdahan sa Local Government Unit of Don Marcelino pinaagi sa Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO).

Pinaagi niini nga programa, ang mga lumulupyo nakailis ug bugas pinaagi sa pagdala ug PET bottles ug plastic wrappers, isip kabahin sa paningkamot sa pagpakunhod sa basura ug pagpalambo sa hapsay ug limpyo nga komunidad.

Dako ang pasalamat sa tanang mipartisipar, sa mga barangay officials, volunteers, ug sa mga SPAMAST Marine Biology Interns nga nagtinabangay aron mahimong malampuson ang kalihokan. MENRO Welcomes SPAMAST Marine Biology Interns Internship Program |

The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Don Marcelino warmly welcomed the internship students from the Southern Philippines Agri-Business, Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST), particularly the Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology students, who will be completing their internship program at the office.

The Local Government Unit, through MENRO, is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with SPAMAST in providing students with meaningful exposure to the various programs and services being implemented for the protection and conservation of the environment.

During their internship, the students will be introduced to the office functions of MENRO, including the implementation of environmental programs, coastal and marine resource protection initiatives, solid waste management programs, biodiversity conservation efforts, environmental awareness activities, and other initiatives promoting sustainable environmental practices.

SPAMAST, or the Southern Philippines Agri-Business, Marine and Aquatic School of Technology, is a state higher education institution specializing in programs related to agriculture, marine science, aquatic resources, and technology.

The LGU recognizes the importance of developing future environmental professionals and strengthening partnerships with academic institutions in advancing environmental protection and sustainable resource management.
