LTO- Dipolog Drivers Education Center-DDEC was conducted a FREE THEORETICAL DRIVING COURSE(TDC) Seminar at Sergio Osmeña Sr. Zamboanga del Norte.
In line with the government’s continuing efforts to promote road safety and strengthen traffic law enforcement, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) DCLC R9, through its Drivers Education Center (DEC), successfully conducted Traffic Laws and Management Seminar on February 7-8, 2026 for barangay officials, barangay tanods, members of the Barangay Public Assistance Team (BPAT), interns of the Local Government Unit and constituents of Sergio Osmeña Sr., Zamboanga del Norte.
The activity was carried out under the supervision of Mayor Glen N. Yu, in coordination with PCpt Larry E. Tumanda Acting Chief of Police of Sergio Osmeña Sr., Zamboanga del Norte, highlighting the strong collaboration between national government agencies and local authorities in advancing road safety initiatives at the grassroots level.
This initiative is in line with the directives of Department of Transportation (DOTr) Acting Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez and LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao, which emphasize continuous education as a vital component in improving traffic discipline and reducing road-related incidents.
The seminar aimed to promote road safety awareness and strengthen compliance with existing traffic laws and regulations. Participants were educated on their rights and responsibilities as road users, as well as the proper implementation of traffic management strategies to help minimize violations and prevent road crashes through a clear understanding of applicable laws.
The activity concluded with a strong reminder that road safety is a shared responsibility among government agencies, local government units, and the general public. LTO DCLC R9 reiterated that through sustained education, close coordination, and consistent enforcement of traffic laws, safer roads and a more disciplined driving culture can be achieved.
