We are pleased to share that the Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation has made the Regional Trial Court, Branch 3 - Family Court, Dipolog City a recipient of one set of Anatomically Correct Dolls. This has also been made possible through the efforts of Prosecutor Ian O. Campiseňo and the Special Project Divisions, National Prosecution Service, Department of Justice.
The Court is pleased with this donation. These Anatomically Correct Dolls will be of essential use in r**e and other sexual abuse cases, involving minor girls and boys, whose traumatizing ordeals are exacerbated by their developmental vulnerabilities, preventing them from properly communicating these incidents to the courts.
These dolls will aid our minor litigants overcome language and cognitive limitations, typical among them, in expressing the sexual abuse/s they went through, particularly in identifying body parts implicated in the experience.
With this new tool, the Court encourages prosecutors, defense counsels, and all lawyers alike to avail of the use of these Anatomically Correct Dolls. Let us continue to ensure that our common pursuit for the speedy and proper dispensation of justice is sensitive to the needs of sexually abused children.
